Have you ever noticed just how often we all tend to gather around a warm cup of coffee to simply talk to each other? Talking over a cup of coffee is great for so many reasons. If you are meeting someone that you don't know all that well, say for a blind date, this is a great place to come and feel relaxed. There is something about a warm cup of coffee that seems to say that everything is going to be alright. You will feel more at ease with someone that you don't know at a coffee shop mostly due to all of the distractions that are probably going to be more than welcome. You can both sit and comment on the long lines or the fancy new line of espresso machines sitting on the shelves. Not to mention you can always lose yourself in your deep cup of coffee or in the tasty scone that you splurged on for yourself. The coffee supply industry has hit the jackpot when it comes to places to have a casual coffee date.
On the other side of the coin, if you know someone really well, you might set up regular meetings at the local coffee shop. The two of you (or more) might decide to meet each Wednesday at a special time to catch up with each other's lives. A coffee shop is a great place to sit and relax with a great group of friends to simply get away from everything else the world is throwing at you. Most coffee shops have those wonderfully comfortable oversized armchairs that you can snuggle up in and talk the day away. You might even find yourselves so relaxed that you won't even notice how much time has flown by. The bulk coffee sales figures must have gone through the roof when those quaint little coffee shops showed up in each and every neighborhood. It seems as though there is one of those shops on just about each street corner.
So if you and your friends (or blind date for that matter) are looking for a great place to hang out to simply chat with each other, consider finding a local coffee shop. You all will find that it reduces the amount of stress in all of your lives simply by gathering around a simple cup of brewed coffee.
